HE'S A FRESHMAN PHENOM — AND LA IS ALREADY WATCHING
Some quarterbacks take years to get noticed. Thaddeus Breaux didn't.
The Hamilton High School quarterback in Los Angeles is only in the Class of 2029, and he's already ranked as a 4-star prospect — No. 100 overall, No. 5 at quarterback, and No. 11 in California in 247Sports' initial 2029 rankings. At 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds, he looks the part before he even throws a pass.
Then he throws it.

As a freshman starter in 2025, Breaux threw for 3,230 passing yards and 32 touchdowns in 11 games. That wasn't a warm-up. In September 2026, he went 40-of-52 for 503 yards and six touchdowns in a win over Washington Prep — the kind of line that makes college coaches stop scrolling and start calling.
WHY BREAUX IS DIFFERENT
A lot of young quarterbacks have an arm. Breaux has an arm and production, and he has it against real competition, week after week. His size lets him stand tall in the pocket, his accuracy shows up in that 40-of-52 game, and his freshman numbers show this isn't a one-game story.

The recruiting world has noticed. Offers reported so far include California, Purdue, Syracuse, UCLA and Utah, among others. USC has shown interest but, as of October 2026, had not yet offered him — a detail worth watching, because a hometown offer from the Trojans would change this recruitment overnight.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR BREAUX
For ALREADY! readers, the story here is simple: Breaux is doing, as a high school freshman and sophomore, what most quarterbacks hope to do as seniors. He still has years of high school football ahead of him, which means years of growth, years of big games, and a recruitment that will only get louder.
If you follow LA high school football, learn this name now. By the time he's a senior, everyone else already will.
